Lenham Repair Shop

 

We are dedicating the next 12 months to our local community by launching The Lenham Repair Shop. (LRS)
Through free training courses, our mission is to challenge the modern ‘throwaway’ culture that is based on the flawed ‘smash it up and melt it’ policy. 
We want to change the mentality toward Repair, Repurpose, Refurbish, Re-engineer, Restore, and Re-use. 
Recycling should always be the absolute last resort.

We’ve been developing our team of fixers and fixing skills since Nov. 2025 because the success of a repair shop is the quality and the number of types of repair on offer.
After our dry run in April the team said they were ready – that’s when we cleared our business responsibilities and decided to give a year to our social experiment in Lenham. 

The Repair Shop is only one part of this experiment – it’s much bigger.
We won’t just fix things and save them from the tip -we will create a community that thinks differently. 
A community that instinctively chooses to Repair before Recycle.”

LRS public live date is Saturday, 1st August from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm at the Len Fest in the Lenham Tithe Barn
