Age UK Herne Bay & Whitstable is an independent charity with its own constitution and funding administered by locally appointed Trustees.
Age UK Herne Bay was established as an independent charity in 1946
In 2018 we extended our area of benefit and began to also deliver services to residents in Whitstable. At this time Age UK Herne Bay and Whitstable was created. Today we continue to support older people from Reculver through to Seasalter as well as the outlying villages.

At Wasted Kitchen, we’re all about food with provenance and purpose.
This means:
We champion seasonal and local produce
We’re passionate about connecting with where our food comes from
We work hard to reduce waste by getting surplus food back into the cycle
We minimise packaging in all we do

The Refectory at Monkshill Farm is a stone’s throw from Whitstable, Faversham and historic Canterbury with stunning views over the Thames estuary and the fruit orchards and rolling hills of Kent.
With plenty of space and fresh air it is a perfect place to bring your team, friends or family together, host a special event, enjoy some local food from Wasted Kitchen and take time to relax and breathe and learn new skills at one of our classes.
