AF Events

Have you ever thought about throwing an event to attract new clients?

Have you thought about the type of event of would like to have, where to have it, how many people you would invite, who you would invite?

There are so many aspects to consider when organising an event and having a great event can really help promote your business.

What is a business event?

A business event can be any one of number of different types of event, anything from an educational event, where you are offering valuable, expert information in your field to potential clients, to a party for existing clients, wining & dining them, to thank them for their business.

A book launch is another type of event which is good for celebrating your accomplishment and promoting yourself and your business, to show off your accomplishment and to demonstrate your expertise in your field.

Deciding on the reason for your event

The first decision you should make is why you want to have the event: –

  • To attract new clients

  • To say thank you to existing clients

  • A bit of both (saying thank you & attracting new clients)

  • A product launch

  • A book launch

  • To gain awareness for your business and what you have to offer.

Making the right impression counts

You need to make the right impression with your event, you need it to be memorable, amazing & fun. Even if your business is a serious business, such as legal advice or financial advice, etc., you want clients to remember the event & to have enjoyed being there. This will not only make potential clients more likely to want to use your business further, but also recommend you to other people.

The layout of the room can, surprisingly, make a difference to the type of impression you want to give, do you want people sat theatre style or more comfortably round tables?

Little things at your event can make the difference between people remembering it for the right reason, rather than the wrong reasons. Things such as how the water is served, from a glass jug into glasses or from a plastic bottle into plastic cups.

A Good Event

A good event can provide potential clients with a great impression of you & your business. A bad event can of course have the opposite effect.

By having a good, memorable event you are showing your authority in your field of business and your business style. Even the decor & attention to detail will be noticed by your potential clients.

An Event Manager

When deciding on having a business event & how to organise it, you should always remember that an Event Manager will help you organise everything and take away all the stress, so you can concentrate on the important part, selling yourself to the clients.

From the initial idea, right through to the smooth running of the day, it is your Event Managers job to organise even the smallest details, including making sure there is paper in the ladies’ toilets.
