FSB Kent Vision Live

Small business owners invited to see their future at Kent Vision Live

Small businesses are invited to look into their digital future at the south east’s largest B2B event on 11 May at the Kent Event Centre. Kent Vision Live, sponsored by FSB, will host more than 350 exhibitors and welcome more than 3,000 small business owners to the exhibition.

Roger Williams, FSB Mid Kent Representative, said: “This year Kent Vision Live is focusing on four key areas: people, marketing, start-up and digital. As a small business owner and Digital Ambassador to the EU, I am pleased to have been able to help the event managers, Revolution Events, to shape the Biz Tech zone. We’ve some very exciting workshops running, from Maidstone-based SCOUT who will talk about the Internet of Things, to international firm IPSoft who will show businesses how artificial intelligence, in the shape of Amelia, will be the next big thing in customer service. For anyone who operates their business via email, via the internet, uses customer databases or takes payment online – you really can’t afford to miss it. ”

FSB member Brian Whiting, owner of pub and restaurant company Whiting and Hammond, will be a guest speaker in the People LIVE zone on behalf of FSB. Brian, who owns and manages nine pubs across the south east, will share his business secrets on how to run a successful team. “We started in September 2003 with the Chaser Inn, Tonbridge, and have grown to nine operations in the last 13 years,” said Brian. “We tend to take on failed sites and turn them around into great venues for people to meet, eat, drink and enjoy themselves in a relaxed atmosphere. I’m delighted to be able to share my experience with other Kent entrepreneurs and hopefully give them some sound advice as well as inspiration.”

FSB is a not-for-profit business organisation led by its members, for its members. Regional volunteers organise events and arrange sponsorships to support fellow independent firms. To join FSB and take part in local events, you need to be running an active business and have between one and 249 employees.

Kent Vision Live runs from 9am to 4.30pm on 11 May at The Kent Event Centre, Detling, Maidstone. Entry is free. Businesses can register online via www.kentvision-live.co.uk
