Fields of Life

In Africa, 115 people die every hour of diseases (such as diarrhoea, cholera, dysentery, typhoid and hepatitis A) linked to poor sanitation, poor hygiene and contaminated water. Every 20 seconds a child dies from waterborne diseases and diarrhoea is the second leading cause of death among children under five in the world. 1.5 million deaths each year – nearly one in five – are caused by diarrhoea. It kills more children than malaria, AIDS and measles combined!

Fields of Life have two drilling rigs in operation with the capacity to drill 10 wells each month! It is their mission to drill 1,000 wells by 2020 and bring fresh, safe drinking water to over 100,000 villagers in East Africa!
